Do you know people who could definitely use your products, but when you attempt to talk to them, you hear all the excuses?

“Ah, thanks, but I already like my brand.”  “Sorry, but your products are just too expensive.” or “Eh… no thanks, I just don’t need these”.

Perhaps you know people who could use some extra money, but when you attempt to tell them about your opportunity, all you hear is “I don’t have time,” “I have no money,” “I’m not a salesperson,” “I don’t know enough people,” etc…

It’s beyond frustrating when you know you have products and a business that can make a HUGE difference for people, but they’re too close-minded to listen to you!

If you’re hearing a lot of no’s when talking to prospects, it’s likely not because of what you’re DOING, but what you’re SAYING. 

And it’s NOT your fault. Many network marketing or direct sales professionals have never been taught how to communicate so other people can easily “get the value” of your products and opportunity.

Good news – there’s a simple approach that makes it easier to talk to prospects so they take action. This approach isn’t sales-y or pushy at all;  just an elegant way to communicate so others can “see what you see”.

When you use these words, they work like “magic!” People see WHY they need your products or opportunity, and get curious to learn more.

BONUS TIP: The most common mistake network marketing professionals make is they talk about their products or business, meaning they describe it by focusing on information and stats.

These details may be interesting, but they aren’t the main reason people buy your products or join your team. Instead of talking about your products or biz, talk about what you products or business can do FOR people.

For example, what benefits or  results do people experience when using your products? What benefits or results do they experience by building a home-based business?

Here’s a simple formula you can use to make this easy:

My product(s) can help you ____________________(solve this problem, get this result).

My business can help you ____________________ (solve this problem, get this result).

Another way to think of this is “Sell the destination, not the airplane!”

If you were booking a trip with your family, you would be excited to get to the DESTINATION, the place at the end of your journey! If the travel agent booking your trip talked endlessly about the AIRPLANE (the ‘vehicle” that gets you to the destination), describing the model of aircraft, the color of the upholstery on the seats, you likely wouldn’t care that much.

The same is true for your prospects; they want the “end results” they can receive by using your products or taking part in your business (and are less concerned about the ingredients or “details”).

By speaking more to the benefits of what you have, you can easily bring in more sales and grow your team. 

To get started, make a list of the BENEFITS people get from using your products. WHY do people need them? What problems do your products solve? Do the same for your business opportunity. WHY do people need a business like this? What problems does your business solve?
